Delicious tender beef shank with pumpkin soup is simple and easy Khmer recipe. It is one of the best Asian recipes in South East Asia. Cambodian people like  to prefer cooking this kind of food.

Ingredients

Beef shanks,approx 2 pieces0.50 kg
Small yellow onion,chopped1
Stalk celery,chopped1
Teaspoon salt½
Cups water6
Pumpkin, peeled and cut bite sizes cubes1-½
Tablespoons fish sauce2
Teaspoon sugar1
Teaspoon black pepper¼
Stalks green onion,chopped3

Directions to make Pumpkin Beef Shank Soup

  1. Put beef shanks with yellow onion, celery, salt and water in a large soup pot, cook till meat tender.
  2. Add pumpkin, cook till pumpkin tender.
  3. Seasoning soup with fish sauce, sugar and black pepper.
  4. Top with green onion.
  5. Serve hot with rice.
